We are currently searching for a Shipping & Receiving/ Propane Attendant.

This position includes training with Propane - after 3 Months we will then have the Employee Certified. Please be advised the ideal candidate is comfortable cross training both our Propane Attendant (Stock Associate) and Auto Wash departments.

We provide the highest level of service while fulfilling our customer’s gas, diesel, propane, fresh food and convenience item needs. We are presently seeking friendly, enthusiastic and hard-working individuals who take pride in providing top notch customer service to join our team.

*Must be available weekends*

The shifts for this position are:

  • 7am – 330pm & 3pm - 11pm, 7 days a week
Job Responsibilities
  • Provide courteous and efficient service throughout the customer’s experience
  • Answer customer questions, provide information and resolve customer concerns
  • Maintain a clean and orderly environment, ensuring gas pumps are always clean, stocked with paper, garbage and recycling containers emptied regularly, cleaning up fuel spills
  • Receive orders daily - Keep the overstock areas organized and tidy using the FIFO system (First In, First Out).
  • Assist customers at the Propane Station
  • Provide assistance at the Auto Wash during times where Auto Wash attendants are not scheduled
Job Skills
  • Possess excellent communication skills with a focus on customer service
  • Be self-motivated, punctual and reliable
  • Work well in both an independent and team environment
  • Maintain an overall friendly and professional manner
  • Able to stay alert and focused at all times.
Experience
  • Previous Cashier experience is an asset but not required
  • Propane experience would be an asset
  • Propane Certificate is an asset but not required - will schedule online certification after probationary period.
  • Previous Customer Service is required
Physical Requirements / Work Conditions
  • Comfortable working outdoors in all types of weather
  • Must be able to lift 30-50 lbs

Job Responsibilities
  • Checks out customer groceries efficiently and accurately.
  • Upholds government regulations concerning sale of alcoholic beverages and taxation.
  • Follows proper check, ATM, and credit procedures.
  • Uses proper tares procedures when ringing up scalable items.
  • Cleans and stocks Front End areas, including own register – changing tapes and ribbon as necessary.
  • Follows all cash handling procedures – meeting and exceeding regional cashier variance policy.
  • May assist with training of new Cashier and Courtesy Team Members.
  • Assists supervisor in controlling customer flow and backed up lines – helping reduce customer waiting time.

Job Responsibilities
  • provide assistance to customers at the auto wash kiosk with payments and redeeming codes as needed
  • safely guiding customer vehicles onto the auto wash track and ensuring all customers are aware of and follow all procedures when using the auto wash
  • general upkeep of auto wash site ( interior tunnel cleanliness, pressure washing, garbage removal, clearing debris from water collection catch basin, exterior maintenance and cleaning )
  • Provide secondary support to propane and shipping/receiving departments if/when needed
  • Able to assist with small odd jobs around the Paz Fuels site ( with upper management support )
  • Always ready to provide friendly and courteous customer service to all customers
